Every Thursday evening, the Rotorua Night Market is one of the city's great local markets and a family-friendly must-do event, popular with locals and visitors alike.
Enjoy boutique-style shopping with the best the region has to offer in arts, crafts and produce. Taste the variety of ethnic cuisine (including Croatian, Indian, French pâtisserie, handmade Italian pasta and of course local kai) and be entertained by alented local musicians. There's lots of music, fun and entertainment to be had at Rotorua's most popular and vibrant market.
Follow the Rotorua Night Market on Facebook for regular updates on each weekly event.
The Night Market is on every Thursday evening from 5 to 9pm (weather permitting) on Tutanekai Street, between Haupapa and Hinemoa streets.
Tips on visiting the market:
During the cooler months, the temperature can drop quickly so bring a jacket or another layer of clothing.
Most stallholders allow payment by EFTPOS/debit cards.
If you prefer to use cash, an ATM is located at the corner of Pukuata and Tutanekai streets near the centre of the market.
On-street parking in the city is free from 5pm. There's plenty of parking around the market.
