1.0 General

1.1 These Terms and Conditions govern the RotoruaNZ Luxury Weekend Giveaway (the “Promotion”). Participation in the Promotion constitutes acceptance of these Terms and Conditions.

1.2 The Promotion is conducted by RotoruaNZ (the “Promoter”).

1.3 The Promotion is open to New Zealand residents aged 18 years or older at the time of entry. Employees of RotoruaNZ and its affiliated partners, agencies or suppliers, and their immediate families, are not eligible to enter.

1.4 The Promotion runs until 11.59pm (NZST) on Friday, 13 June 2025 (“Promotion Period”). Entries received after this date will not be eligible.

1.5 Entry is limited to one per person and is only valid via subscription to the RotoruaNZ newsletter during the Promotion Period. To enter, you must sign up using the subscription form found on this webpage.

2.0 Prize Details

2.1 One (1) prize winner will receive the following for two (2) adults:

• Two (2) nights’ accommodation in a Lakeview Lodge Suite at On the Point – Lake Rotorua, including breakfast, for the nights of Friday 20 and Saturday 21 June 2025.
• Two (2) tickets to the ARONUI Indigenous Arts Festival Drone Show and Rotorua Night Market on Friday, 20 June 2025.
• Two (2) Te Pō Combo passes at Te Puia on Saturday 21 June 2025, including a guided tour, hāngī buffet dinner, and haka performance.
• Two (2) Sanctuary Bathing passes at Wai Ariki Hot Springs and Spa.
   

2.2 The total retail value of the prize is NZD $2,850 (RRP). All values are correct at the time of publication and are subject to change.

2.3 The prize is non-transferable, non-exchangeable, and not redeemable for cash. No substitutions, alterations, or extensions will be permitted.

2.4 The Promoter reserves the right to substitute any prize component with an item of equal or greater value in the event any part of the prize becomes unavailable.

3.0 Prize Conditions and Exclusions

3.1 Travel to, from, and within Rotorua is not included and is the sole responsibility of the winner.

3.2 The prize must be used on Friday 20 and Saturday 21 June 2025. These dates are fixed and non-negotiable. Failure to redeem the prize on these dates will result in forfeiture without any form of compensation.

3.3 Additional costs not explicitly mentioned, including but not limited to insurance, transport, incidentals, food and beverage (unless stated), upgrades, spa treatments, personal expenses, or additional accommodation, are the responsibility of the winner.

3.4 A valid credit card or cash deposit may be required by the accommodation provider upon check-in to cover incidentals.

3.5 All bookings are subject to operator availability and standard terms and conditions. RotoruaNZ is not responsible for changes or cancellations made by third-party operators.

3.6 Experiences included in the prize are subject to availability, weather conditions, and operating hours. RotoruaNZ accepts no responsibility for cancellation, postponement, or changes to any public events, such as the ARONUI Festival or Rotorua Night Market.

4.0 Winner Selection and Notification

4.1 The winner will be randomly drawn on or around Saturday, 14 June 2025, using a verifiable method of random selection.

4.2 The winner will be notified by RotoruaNZ via the email address provided at entry. Entrants are responsible for checking their inbox, including spam/junk folders.

4.3 If the winner does not respond within forty-eight (48) hours or fails to comply with any instructions, the prize will be forfeited, and another winner will be selected.

4.4 If the winner is unable or unwilling to accept the prize as stated, they will forfeit all entitlements to the prize, and a replacement winner may be drawn at the Promoter’s discretion.

5.0 Use of Personal Information and Publicity

5.1 By entering the Promotion, the winner agrees to the use of their name (or social media handle) for promotional purposes, including announcements on RotoruaNZ’s social media channels and/or newsletters, without compensation.

5.2 Personal data collected will be handled in accordance with RotoruaNZ’s Privacy Policy and the New Zealand Privacy Act 2020.

6.0 Platform Disclaimer and Fraudulent Activity

6.1 This Promotion is in no way sponsored, endorsed, administered by, or associated with Meta (Facebook or Instagram) or any other social media platform.

6.2 RotoruaNZ will never request your banking or credit card information. Entrants are advised to remain vigilant against scams. Official RotoruaNZ social media accounts:

Any suspicious communication should be reported immediately.

6.3 RotoruaNZ reserves the right to disqualify any entry deemed fraudulent, incomplete, or non-compliant with these Terms and Conditions.

7.0 Liability

7.1 To the maximum extent permitted by law, RotoruaNZ and its affiliates will not be liable for any direct, indirect, special, or consequential loss, damage, or injury (including but not limited to personal injury or death) arising in connection with participation in the Promotion or the use of any part of the prize.

7.2 If, for any reason, the Promotion cannot run as planned, the Promoter reserves the right to cancel, terminate, modify, or suspend the Promotion without liability.
