DAY 1
OFF ROAD NZ
Start the day at Off Road NZ, set amongst New Zealand native forest. The team offers customised team building challenges, whether you’re looking to improve mental or physical agility, communication, trust, rapport or anything in between! Head off on a 4WD bush safari, monster 4x4 thrill ride, raceline karting, claybird shooting or archery. After an action-packed morning, head to their Native Bush Camp venue for a BBQ lunch.
SKYLINE ROTORUA & VOLCANIC HILLS WINERY
Next up is Skyline Rotorua via Gondola rides up Mount Ngongotahā with stunning views of the city and lake of Rotorua. Grab your helmet and a Luge – invented right here in Rotorua – and race your colleagues down one of three tracks. When you’re done, winners and non-winners alike can celebrate to the fun at Volcanic Hills Winery with a team wine tasting accompanied by delicious sharing platters.
DAY 2
ROTORUA CANOPY TOURS
Explore an untouched native forest just a short drive outside Rotorua. Begin your journey at the forest floor and then to the forest canopy in which you’ll experience an incredible network of walking trails, treetop platforms, ziplines and canopy swing bridges. You’ll be guided by passionate local guides and learn more about the history, ecology and birdlife in this area. This is a small group experience, with 10 people per group, so your team will really get connect with one another. It’s an unforgettable experience. Your team will definitely walk out feeling a stronger connection with nature and each other.
POLYNESIAN SPA
Carry on those positive vibes by relaxing and being rejuvenated at Polynesian Spa’s Retreat Day Spa. Soak in the adult only Deluxe Lake Spa’s hot mineral pools overlooking Lake Rotorua, then enjoy a spa treatment and finish with a hot drink in the relaxation lounge.
TERRACE KITCHEN
At Terrace Kitchen, it’s all about the food. Canapés and cocktails, shared platters, a degustation, the TK team can make it happen.If your group is on the small side, Tonic Bar upstairs is the perfect venue to hire as it offers an intimate, private space – excellent for dining, chatting, presenting and group work, away from the patrons downstairs. An added perk: Tonic has its own private bar!
For larger groups, get together in the main dining space downstairs and better yet, if it’s a sunny day, take advantage of the lawn outside. The team at Terrace are accustomed to handling groups large and small, so the choice is yours.
DAY 3
VELOCITY VALLEY
Whether your team is made up of adrenaline junkies or those who are a bit more low key, each of them will be able to find an activity to enjoy at Velocity Valley. Five experiences await: Agrojet, Swoop, Freefall Xtreme, Shweeb, Bungy Jump and Freestyle Airbag. All these activities encourage your whole team to step outside their comfort zone and improve communication in a fun and exciting way.
ROTORUA RAFTING
Rafting is a sure way to build trust, teamwork and a bond between colleagues. Get your team’s adrenaline pumping rafting down the highest commercially rafted waterfall in the world. This is a memorable experience that will have your team reliving time and time again.
TE PUIA
Can you imagine having dinner overlooking an active geyser? Dine with a view of the world-famous Pōhutu Geyser, the largest active geyser in the Southern Hemisphere. Choose from a setting that’s up close and personal with the geyser only metres away at Ngāraratuatara marquee, or from a slightly further but still amazing vantage point at beautiful Pātaka Kai restaurant. Te Puia’s chefs truly capture a range of Kiwi flavours, infusing traditional Māori ingredients, cuisine and cooking styles, and guaranteeing everyone enjoys an amazing meal.
