Atlantis Books stocks an epic selection of quality used books in the heart of Rotorua.
Atlantis Books opened in Rotorua in 2014 and since then has amassed 30,000 used books. Their bread and butter will always be used fiction, but some of the most cherished books are in the rare and collectables section, and range from the late 18th century to the early 20th. Many of these books tell their own stories, with notes on the inside giving hints to their past.
Over the years Atlantis Books has also built a collection of out-of-print New Zealand non-fiction. These range from local histories to obscure biographies and family histories.
One of the most popular sections in the shop is the comics and graphic novels. Whether adults looking for a nostalgic moment or children getting into superheroes for the first time, these are always in demand.
Atlantis Books is open 7 days a week and every day of the year except Christmas and Good Friday.
