Boyes Beach is one of the largest beaches on Lake Ōkareka and a great attraction during the warmer months, and popular for swimming, fishing and picnicking.
Facilities include barbecues, picnic area, children's playground, drinking water, toilets, showers, dishwashing facilities and designated overnight parking area for motorhomes and campervans. A mobile phone charging unit is also provided.
A walkway connects Boyes Beach to the Lake Ōkareka Department of Conservation (DOC) campsite which passes two local jumping rocks. Fees are collected via EFPOS from a camp manger who will visit during your stay.
