Kokako Retreat is a luxurious and unique off-grid glamping escape perched on a hill overlooking lush native forest and farmland.
The native bush to the rear of the Kokako Retreat is rich with wildlife. You'll hear the rare and beautiful notes of the endangered kÅkako. And at night, if you're lucky, the sound of kiwi calling and the sight of the native bats darting through the forest.
The neighbouring DOC reserve has walkways to wander, with one of them taking you down to a gorgeous waterfall.
Kokako Retreat’s three unique curved huts consist of a lounge, a kitchen bathroom combo, and a bedroom. They’re connected by boardwalks just a few steps apart.
Hammocks, beanbag chairs, and an outdoor tub on the deck outside the bedroom hut provide many ways to stop and enjoy the stunning sunsets and sunrises from the retreat’s elevated position.
