What's new in Rotorua
Rotorua is one of New Zealand's most unique and iconic destinations. With new products and experiences constantly coming on stream, it’s time that you came back for a fresh look at this diverse and beautiful city for your next conference, meeting, incentive, event or corporate function.
Over the past few years an amazing array of new product has been added to Rotorua's myriad range of exciting, adventurous and, in many cases, world or New Zealand first activities.
Among them are: Rotorua Canopy Tours - New Zealand's only native forest zipline tour; Big Splash - an amazing eco-experience and family fun ride at Rainbow Springs, (who have also added a new exotic and native bird show to their offering); RailCruising - the world's first fully automated petrol-electric hybrid railway vehicles; Rotorua Paddle Tours - stand up paddle boarding on Lake Tarawera, Lake Rotoiti or Hamurana Springs; mountain biking from the top of a volcano with HELiPRO; a paddle on Lake Rotorua in an authentic double-hulled waka (canoe) with Ohinemutu Waka Boyz; OGO - a new 'roll down a hill in a huge globe' adventure option that claims the title of the world's longest ball rolling track; Jelly Belly - a gourmet jellybean shop at Skyline Rotorua; Volcanic Hills Winery tasting room and winery - also at Skyline Rotorua; sailing cruises with Pure Cruise in Lake Rotoiti which can include helping trim sails and/or taking the helm; stepping back in time in the Whirinaki Forest with Foris Eco-tours; the completion of a huge extension to the Rotorua Museum; an international kart track at Off Road NZ; and establishment of a mountain biking hub, complete with hire bikes, pump track, café and service centre, in the Whakarewarewa Forest at Waipa.
All these options plus literally dozens of others are well suited to conference, meeting and incentive programmes whether for delegates, as partner programmes or wrapped around dining options.
Significant accommodation additions and upgrades include the Regent of Rotorua, Black Swan Lakeside Boutique Hotel, Quest Rotorua Central apartments, Lakes Lodge Wilderness Retreat, and Apollo Hotel.
