Adventure Packed Roto Vegas Getaway

Adventure Packed Roto Vegas Getaway

Arriving in Rotorua early evening wasn’t a problem for Simone & Trent, with so many things to do in Rotorua at night . Their first stop was The Redwoods Treewalk Nightlights. Suspended walkways and stunning David Trubridge designed lanterns light up the forest after dark and provide a unique and serene experience not to be missed.

Having a comfortable first night in their accommodation on the shores of Lake Rotorua at the Sumida Lake Rotorua Hotel prepped Simone & Trent for the next day - one packed full of adventure.

Their first stop was Adventure Playground located on Mt Ngongotaha, with an abundance of activity options! Here Simone & Trent had the time of their lives enjoying a 2hour scenic horse trek, followed by 4x4 buggy experiences, topped off with clay bird shooting!
A two minute drive next door to OGO and a quick change into their togs, set the up them for both the wet and dry options. The spa pool while they waited for their roll was also a winner.

Agroventures was the next stop action spot! With great package deals available, Simone and Trent opted for the combo of Swoop, Agrojet and the superhero inspired Freefall Xtreme where you fly in a giant wind column.

After all that action, a relaxing and romantic couples Signature Mud Wrap at the Polynesian Spa was just what they needed. Enjoying stunning lake front views and the soothing properties of the thermal mud was an experience they will remember. Dinner at Terrace Kitchen was their location of choice to top of a superb day out, enjoying a wide range of delicious contemporary meals.

After their busy day, Simone & Trent enjoyed their night at The Black Swan, a stunning, sophisticated luxury lodge on the edge of Lake Rotorua.  An early start saw the couple take the gondola at Skyline Rotorua, with the stunning views and epic luge tracks!
From here it was time to head North... not before visiting Off Road NZ which had everything Trent wanted! Starting with a 4wd bush safari, followed by a Monster 4x4 truck through rough bush, and finished with race line carting! This was definitely one for the books!

Half way home was Simone and Trent’s final stop, visiting Hobbiton in Matamata. Enjoying a guided tour around the surreal movie set of Lord of The Rings really topped of their weekend away!
