Offering genuine warmth of welcome and hospitality is something that Te Arawa Maori have been providing visitors to the Rotorua region for well over 150 years.


Day One

Visit New Zealand’s premier Maori Cultural Centre Te Puia and see the magnificent Pohutu Geyser, Whakarewarewa Valley and visit the Maori Arts and Craft Institute.

For a unique Maori culture and cuisine experience enjoy one of the evening cultural performances on offer at Mitai Maori Village, Te Po (at Te Puia) or Tamaki Maori Village.


Day Two

Take a guided walk through the historical Government Gardens, Rotorua Lakefront, Hospital Hill and Maori Village of Ohinemutu.

Don’t miss an opportunity to visit The Buried Village with its award-winning museum, recreated pioneer cottage, Maori whare and excavated sites. The scenic nature trail, which includes a walk to the stunning Wairere waterfall as well as Vi's Teahouse onsite are attractions in their own right.
