Wai-O-Tapu Thermal Wonderland is located approximately 25km south of the Rotorua city centre. While it’s an easy, straight drive through the picturesque countryside, we can make it easier for couples, families and groups to get to the same place easier and all together.
Wai-O-Tapu is a spectacular showcase of New Zealand’s most colourful and unique geothermal elements sculpted by thousands of years of geothermal activity.
NOTE: Wai-o-Tapu is open Friday to Monday only. This shuttle service and entry package is available only on these days.

Wai-o-Tapu Thermal Wonderland is open Friday to Monday only. This shuttle and entry package is valid for travel and entry only on Fridays to Mondays only.
A minimum of two adults are required for the shuttle service and entry package to commence. The shuttle leaves from and returns to the i-SITE located at 1167 Fenton Street, Rotorua. If you are wanting to book this package for today or tomorrow, bookings must be made by visiting Rotorua i-SITE Visitor Information Centre or calling +64 7 348 5179.
