6 Foody Dad

For a sweet treat for Dad, visit Third Place Cafe for a delicious custard slice. Wander down the hill for a stroll through the thermal village of Ohinemutu, home to the Ngāti Whakaue iwi and St Faith’s Church. The church interior has a strong Māori influence and features a window etched with the image of Jesus wearing a Māori cloak.

For something a little bit special for Foody Dad, the Indigenous 7 course degustation experience at Princes Gate Boutique Hotel is a real treat. The menu, designed under the guidance of chef Charles Royal utilise native herbs and ingredients with techniques of Maori and early European Settlers, with a modern twist.
