Wildwood Lodge
Wildwood is a privately owned and operated five star lake edge estate situated on tranquil and historic Lake Rotoehu. Approximately twenty minutes from Rotorua city and fifteen minutes from Rotorua airport, it offers luxury lake edge lodging to the discerning traveller. It is set in over two hectares of landscaped grounds, and with 200 meters of lake frontage, offers absolute privacy for only six guests. No other properties are visible from anywhere on the entire estate, just stunning lake views from every aspect.
It offers two large identical suites of 40 M Sq in the main lodge, and an adjacent guest house of approximately 75 M Sq. All accommodation options have private balconies with superb views over the lake. The guest house has a private spa pool off the bedroom. Wildwood offers a fully inclusive tariff, covering full breakfast, pre dinner cocktails, 3 / 4 course dinner, a superb selection of wines from a 1000 bottle cellar, wireless internet and complimentary telephone calls to landlines in most countries. There are no extras. The lodge has helipad, float plane docking facilities and a highly qualified resident fishing guide specialising in remote river and helicopter fly fishing.
The lodge was totally rebuilt only three years ago with particular attention being given to the demands of high end travelers. It has a wonderful feeling of space and light with the large balconies offering al fresco dining overlooking the lake in the summer months. The lodge is air conditioned, centrally heated and has a guest library and theatre. A private orchard and vegetable garden supplies much of the produce used in the lodge.
