Hobbiton Movie Set and Farm Tours
Daily guided tours are available ex Matamata and Rotorua to visit the original Hobbiton Movie Set from The Lord of the Rings trilogy. The set has been returned to its natural state however, hobbit holes and some structures still remain. Tour includes a sheep shearing demonstration and bottle feeding of the pet lambs.
The Shire's Rest (function centre/café) is now available for your conferences/private functions. Enjoy the tranquil surroundings of the rural property with full bar and catering facilities.
Sheep Farm Experience includes sheep shearing demonstration, bottle feeding pet lambs and feeding hand reared pet sheep.

Kawerau Jet

Tarawera Legacy
Follow in the path of the Tuhourangi people
a sub-tribe of Te Arawa, from their arrival to Rotorua through to the devastating 1886 eruption of Mt Tarawera.

Agrodome Sheep Show and Farm Tour
The Agrodome Sheep Show is a one-hour performance, presented in a specially designed all-weather auditorium. During the show the audience will see nineteen sheep breeds, the art of sheep shearing, sheepdog demonstrations, cow milking, bottle feed baby lambs and an exciting sheep auction. Show times: 09.30am, 11.00am and 2.30pm daily.
Experience the Authentic Working Farm Tour. It is great fun, educational and very entertaining from start to finish! In one hour, you will tour our pure New Zealand farm in an all-weather, all terrain vehicle. Farm Tours Depart: 10.40am, 12.10pm, 1.30pm and 3.40pm daily. Mitai Maori Village
An evening at Mitai will give you an authentic introduction to Maori culture leaving you amazed and in awe. Enter the world of Mitai. Hell's Gate - Wai Ora Spa
Considered to be the most active of the Rotorua thermal areas, Hell's Gates has the largest active mud volcano in the southern hemisphere as well as the only hot waterfall. This reserve is of great importance to the Ngati Rangiteaorere tribe, who have lived in this area for more than 700 years. All the guides at Hell's Gates are of Te Arawa descent. The geothermal park is just half of the complex, with the other being New Zealands famous Wai Ora Spa, complete with full geothermal mud baths, mineral spas which make skin healthier, softer and smoother. Wai Ora Spa is also the only place you experience the Mirimiri style massage, a relaxation massage, which focus not only on physical relaxation, but also mental and spiritual relaxation.
