The Great New Zealand Touring Route (GNZTR)
These easy to navigate touring routes were created in 2000 after the Regional Tourism Organisations of the Central North Island decided to work together to promote the area as one destination.
Unique scenery and adventure await all who travel the diverse touring routes of the Pacific Coast Highway and the Thermal Explorer Highway with the Volcanic Loop extension that makes up one of the best recognised touring routes in the world - the Great New Zealand Touring Route (GNZTR).
