Summer 08/09 television commercial

Being the new faces of Rotorua has been hard work but also a lot of fun for the Hill family of Lynmore, Rotorua. Parents Geoff and Sandra and children Leanna, 14, Brandon 12, and Tegan 9, spent the weekend of 21 - 22 November dashing between activities and attractions for the filming of the new television campaign promoting Rotorua as an affordable family holiday destination.

The Hills were selected from about 50 families who put themselves forward after Destination Rotorua Marketing's appeal in The Daily Post to find new faces of Rotorua for campaigns promoting the city in New Zealand and around the world.

The family had a busy, action-packed weekend trying to capture some of what the city has to offer for two television advertisements, which will be screening on TVNZ digital channels from the end of December 2008.

This ad will run again for a month long autumn campaign beginning March 15.
