White Cloud Worlds Opening

The ground-breaking exhibition White Cloud Worlds, featuring stunning science fiction and fantasy artwork by internationally acclaimed New Zealand artists, opens at Rotorua Museum next Wednesday, 2 May – 29 July 2012.
From stark, alien landscapes and creatures of terror and blighted evil to paintings of sensual and evocative beauty, White Cloud Worlds takes the audience on a journey of exploration and discovery into visually rich, imaginary worlds.
Showcasing over 20 artists, many of whom have been involved in such famous projects as The Lord of The Rings, Avatar, Wizards of the Coast and Marvel Comics, this stimulating and inspiring exhibition offers visitors a rare glimpse into the world of fantasy art.
The exhibition includes draft sketches, concept drawings, finished prints, sculpture and oil on canvas work. Featured artists include Jeremy Bennett, Greg Broadmore, Christian Pearce, Frank Victoria, Paul Tobin, Simon Morse, Ben Stenbeck, Jamie Beswarick, Stephen Lambert, and many more.
White Cloud Worlds will be on display at Rotorua Museum until 29 July 2012.
Entry to the exhibition is included with admission to the Museum, which is free for Rotorua residents with proof of residency.
