Cruise and Fish Rotorua
The Rotorua region has some of New Zealand’s best fishing waters. From the 14 lakes and the river and stream networks that flow from the high country, there is no better place to start or end a fishing holiday.
John Hamill is the operations manager / director of Cruise and fish and has had the privilege of playing in the region for most of his life. Born and breed in Rotorua, John’s father Bill, instilled the love of fishing and game bird hunting.
With 15 years of guiding and years of the love of the sport, come and play in my backyard and see why no trip to Rotorua is without seeing this playground.
The options are numerous so if it’s a lesson or you are an advanced fly fisher we have the package to suit. From a half day to multiday, drive in or fly in wilderness backcountry trips we have something to temp your abilities with trout to match. Best time is anytime but if its dry fly action or summer lake edge then November to April is the time to be here.
If you are looking for a great family activity or just something special for yourselves or a group then join us on Lake Tarawera onboard 'Elusive' for some fantastic trout fishing or just a cruise to Te Rata Bay (hot water beach) and enjoy the scenic beauty that is Lake Tarawera.
