The Lake House Bed and Breakfast Rotorua
This beautiful Bed and Breakfast is absolute lake edge and offers quality, well appointed accommodation with warm and friendly hosts who are happy to help with recommendations and advice on what to see and do in and around Rotorua. We are a short 8km drive out of the city centre, close to the airport, far enough away to be both tranquil and sulphur free and yet still within easy access to the host of attractions that Rotorua has to offer. Built in the 1920’s the house enjoys extensive northern lake views to take full advantage of all day sunshine.
Being lakeside, all rooms in our Bed and Breakfast have outstanding views over Lake Rotorua to Mokoia Island and beyond. Guest bedrooms open onto a covered, colonial style veranda stepping down to the garden and lake. There are two guest rooms with comfortable queen beds to choose from, Tahi room is en-suite and Rua room has sole use of a private bathroom and separate shower room.
We welcome children at The Lake House and have a family package. The Ships Cabin room has built in bunk beds, with comfortable inner sprung mattresses, which can be booked to accommodate older children whose parents are staying in Rua room. Adjacent to Rua children share the family bathroom and shower room with their parents. Tahi room is spacious and can be made into a triple room, with the addition of a single bed, for those parents wanting younger children to sleep in with them. Babies stay free and we can provide a portable cot.
There is a lovely walk along the lake edge to a great children’s playground and on to a wet lands area. The lake is very safe for swimming and for a closer look at the lake feel free to make use of our Perception kayaks, buoyancy aids are provided. Relaxation is easy at The Lake House, lie on sun loungers in our beautiful garden and relax and unwind all year round in our luxurious, purpose built spa room with en-suite shower and toilet facilities. Open up the bi-fold windows to fully enjoy the ambience of the lakeside setting.
