Up a long driveway in the country, but oh so close to town, the cottage gives visitors the best of both worlds – nice not to hear the guests next door come and go.
Each window opens to farmland views, and relaxing on the deck at any time of the day or evening is really refreshing.
Guests can have as much or as little contact with hostess Shirley as they wish. She has many helpful suggestions of things to see and do while at Inglenook Cottage. Her recommendations are genuine – it is Shirley’s policy not to accept any commissions from attraction providers.
Inglenook Cottage is fully self-contained and serviced daily. It is smoke-free and guests will feel safe and secure. A selection of breakfast cereals, bread and homemade spreads are provided so visitors can prepare breakfast in their own time. Sleep in or have an early start without worrying about being at breakfast at a certain time. For people who have been travelling for a while, the washing machine is a welcome sight - that laundry always seems to accumulate regardless.
Rainbow Springs, Mitai Cultural Show, Skyline Skyrides, The Agrodome and famous trout fishing spots are all a few minutes’ drive away, and the drive to the CBD takes just 10 minutes.
Shirley’s aim: To do all she can to give guests an enjoyable and memorable stay in Rotorua.
Rates: NZ$150 per night for two, NZ$15 for each additional person. Accommodating up to four.
