Rotorua features more than a dozen options to choose from; some in the city, others on the lake-edge and some enjoying a more rural aspect.

Also known as camping grounds, most Rotorua holiday parks typically have a range of non powered and powered sites suitable for tents, caravans and campervans. Many Rotorua holiday parks also offer other accommodation options including cabins, tourist flats and park motels. Some bigger operations also have backpacker style lodge accommodation.

Communal facilities include male and female ablution blocks with showers and toilets, laundry with coin operated washing and drying machines, and kitchen. Expect kitchens to have cooking facilities, fridge, freezers, sinks with hot/cold water, microwaves, toasters and dining area.

Additional facilities usually on offer would include visitor information and booking service, children’s playground, public telephone, outdoor barbecue, TV/games lounge, and clean and tidy grounds.
