One of the easiest ways to explore the many attractions around Rotorua is with a local tour company. Their expert guides (some of them Maori) will share the history of the area and its people. Many guides are highly knowledgeable and will not only share expert history of the area and its people, but stories handed down through generations that you won't read in brochures or guide books.
